Plastic Tri-Pak ball packing for water treatment, made of injection molded plastic similar to polyhedral hollow ball packing, is made of a unique network of ribs, struts and drip bars. Drops, providing maximum surface contact between gas and scrubbing liquid. Pressure drop values are reduced by 90%. Plastic Tri-Pak Ball Packing for Water Treatment has a high active surface area, which is exposed during column operation, has more void space than packing of equivalent size, wets all of its surface area, and minimizes the total packing depth required. Having no flat surfaces to hold particles also prevents clogging and since there are no corners and valleys, Tri-pak tower packing also eliminates the possibility of puddles. Minimizes wasted fluid flowing along wall surfaces. Avoids dry spots and compression interlocks, two common drawbacks of traditional packaging media, which cause liquid and air passage and reduce media efficiency.

 

The structural characteristics of Tri-Pack is without forming void areas, but by a hollow spherical column packing constructed of a unique network of ribs, struts, and drip rods. The unique network of ribs, struts and drip rods can give the Tri-Pack a distinct advantage in providing excellent wetting qualities and maintaining liquid distribution through the packed bed. The Tri-Pack offer an optimum surface area to open area ratio for which yields excellent mass transfer efficiency and reduced operating costs.

Plastic tri-pack has a symmetrical geometry, which is made from a unique network of ribs, struts and drip rods. It is made of injection molded plastic, including PP, PE, PVC, PVDF and other materials. The most widely used diameter of plastic tri-pack is 1", 1-1/4", 3" and 3-1/2".
