Silica Gel

Silica gel desiccant has white silica gel, blue silica gel, and Orange silica gel.

Advantage: is a highly useful variety of desiccant, available in a range of mesh sizes to meet the needs of its many possible uses in industry. It does not react with chemicals, and is tasteless, odorless, non-toxic, and non-corrosive. It is extremely porous and can adsorb a large amount of water due to its vast amount of internal surface area. Since it is non-deliquescent, its size and shape always remain the same, and there are no chemical reactions or byproducts that result from the adsorption process. Even when saturated with water, the gel stays free-flowing, and dry. What makes blue indicating silica gel particularly useful is that, as it adsorbs water, it changes color, going from blue to purple to pink as the moisture is adsorbed.

1. Mainly used for moisture absorption and rust proofing when instruments and equipment are placed in obturation conditions, at the same time, according to their own color turning red from blue after the moisture absorption it can indicates ambient humidity directly.

2. It being used with ordinary silica gel desiccant, we can get the desiccant moisture level and judge the relative ambient humidity.

Color-Variable Silica Gel

1: In the form of spherical or irregularly-shaped grains, the gel is currently presented purple, orange or yellow.

2: With silicon dioxide as the chief ingredient, the product performs all the functions of blue silica gel but does not contain cobalt chloride and is therefore innocuous and pollution-free.

3: Its color varies as humidity changes.

Use: Mainly for drying and indicating humidity of precision instruments, medicine, petrol chemicals, foodstuff, clothing, leather.

1. Used for absorbing moisture of instruments, gauges and equipment in the enclosed conditions.

2. After adsorb moisture, it turns blue into red, visually indicating the relative humidity of the given environment.

3. When being used with ordinary silica gel or drier, it indicates to which extent the drier absorbs the moistures and judges the relative humidity of a given environment.

4. Used to judge if the humidity of a environment is up to the specified requirements and to determine if the adsorbent or drier ceases to be effective.

Its main component is silicon dioxide and its color varies with the humidity. With the exception of blue silica gel's performance, it also has characters of cobalt chloride free, non-toxic, odorless, harmless, etc.

Its molecular formula is: SiO₂ + H₂O + C₂₅H₃₀ClN₃

The product can be used alone or be mixed with other silica gel. To dry and indicate the humidity, we can place appropriate amount of the goods in appropriate containers or packaging to achieve this purpose.

This product is mainly used for drying, instructing the degree of drying or humidity, and widely used in precision instruments, pharmaceuticals, petrochemicals, food, clothing, leather, home appliances and other industrial gases, etc. It can also be used for domestic purposes such as moisture proofing and dehumidifying.

Orange silica gel has a strong capacity of absorption moisture. During the process of absorption moisture, the appearance of the color changes obviously according to the hygroscopic capacity. So it's often called "humidity indicator."
